Due Diligence SA provides Company Level and Product Level due diligence documentation for asset managers in South Africa. There is also an MDD (minimum disclosure document or factsheet) available for each product.

Due diligence documentation should form the basic library of every advisor, wealth manager, multi-manager, DFM (discretionary fund manager) or asset consultant. It should be a commodity and yet every asset manager is obliged to complete up to 50 due diligence questionnaires per annum requested by a variety of fund selectors.

There are three levels of subscription to Due Diligence SA.

    1. Fund selector – this is the financial advisor, wealth manager, multi-manager, DFM (discretionary fund manager) or asset consultant. With a few clicks, one’s library of the entire asset management industry is comprehensively completed. It is reviewed and curated at least quarterly or, on demand, if required.

    1. Asset manager – the asset managers devote unnecessary resources that could be far more productively deployed to completing DDQs. With Due Diligence SA, the asset manager needs complete only one DDQ. Asset managers also run seminars, webinars and information sessions for all the fund selectors on a regular basis and frequently overlap with other asset managers resulting in sub-optimal attendance. Due Diligence SA will run a calendar for asset managers to ensure maximum turnouts at all events. Asset managers can submit Thought Leadership articles to advertise their current philosophies and views. Being seen on the Asset Manager page on this site is useful exposure for asset managers.

    1. Free access – product factsheets (more correctly called MDDs or minimum disclosure documents) are of interest to any investor and are available on every manager’s website. Due Diligence SA has made them all available in one place.
